Exercise Rehabilitation

In order to reduce the chances of further injury and also speed up recovery times it is necessary to make sure all muscles used in sport are well conditioned, strong and flexible.

Paul will assess all major muscle groups from the hip down using various tests that you will be asked to perform. Information gathered will allow him to identify areas of potential weakness and inflexibility.

The client will then be shown stretching and strengthening exercises to help with both rehabilitation and injury prevention.

Some rehabilitation exercises may be very specific, targeting certain structures and muscles within the foot. Often these muscles need activation with external stimulation such as electrotherapy before the client can actually work on them. Once the muscles have been activated then the individual can undertake the exercises following a programme at home.
